Tras haber sido lanzada en cines la tan esperada película del Hechicero Supremo este 4 de Mayo, comentaré en este artículo qué me ha parecido el filme sin hacer spoilers, para que los que aún no la hayan visto puedan experiementar ese hype por las grandes escenas y cameos que se muestran.
After the long-awaited movie of the Sorcerer Supreme was released in theaters this May 4, I will comment in this article what I thought of the film without making spoilers, so that those who have not yet seen it can experience that hype for the great scenes and cameos shown.
Vemos un universo en destrucción, donde Steven Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) es víctima del caos, quien se encuentra teniendo pesadillas producto a la brecha multiversal que presenciamos al final de la serie Loki y los eventos ocurridos en Spider-man: No Way Home. Impactado por lo que está pasando, Strange, decide pedirle ayuda a Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) para que con el uso del Darkhold, pudiera viajar a través del multiverso y corregir dichas brechas.
We see a universe in destruction, where Steven Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is a victim of chaos, who finds himself having nightmares as a result of the multiversal breach that we witnessed at the end of the Loki series and Spider-man: No Way Home events. Shocked by what is happening, Strange decides to ask Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) for help so that with the use of the Darkhold, they could travel through the multiverse and fix that breaches.
Atravesando las infinitas puertas de varios universos, junto a Wong (Benedict Wong), se encuentran con América Chávez, interpretada por Xóchitl Gómez quien es capaz de viajar a través del multiverso usando sus poderes, se ven en inmensos mundos que no habíamos visto antes en el UCM. La aparición de las variantes de Steven: Defender Strange y Sinister Strange dan un toque muy diferente del personaje principal que conocemos, mostrando una excelentísima actuación por parte de Benedict.
Going through the infinite doors of various universes, together with Wong (Benedict Wong), they meet América Chávez, played by Xóchitl Gómez who is able to travel through the multiverse using her powers, they even look into immense worlds that we had not seen before in the MCU. The appearance of the variants of Steven: Defender Strange and Sinister Strange give a very different touch to the main character we know, showing an excellent performance by Benedict.
Wanda, conocida ahora como Scarlet Witch juega un papel sumamente importante en el filme siendo la principal causante de una serie de eventos que se desarrollan. La historia tiene lugar 11 meses después de Avengers: Endgame justamente luego de la derrota de Thanos por parte de los Vengadores y el sufrimiento que le ocasionó a Wanda la muerte de Vision. Maximoff, intenta recuperar a sus hijos perdidos en el multiverso, quien los busca sin importar qué, viendo las cosas que hace por tratar de lograrlo.
Vistiendo su traje comic accurate modificado, combate a Strange y a Shuma-Gorath y se enfrenta además a personajes que hemos visto ya en películas y series anteriores previas en el UCM.
Wanda, now known as Scarlet Witch, plays an extremely important role in the film, being the main cause of a series of events that unfold. The story takes place 11 months after Avengers: Endgame just after the defeat of Thanos by the Avengers and the suffering caused to Wanda by Vision's death. Maximoff tries to recover her lost children in the multiverse, who searches for them no matter what, seeing the things she does to try to achieve it.
Wearing his modified comic accurate costume, she battles Strange and Shuma-Gorath and takes on notable characters we've seen in previous movies and series in the MCU.
Patrick Steward, como Professor X es uno de los cameos más importantes de la película, donde vemos a un Charles Xavier usando la silla característica de los cómics, de una línea temporal parecida a la que conocemos de los filmes clásicos de X-MEN de FOX del 2000. Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), que nos han introducido previamente en la serie original animada de Marvel What If? y el equipo completo de los Illuminati con un nuevo elenco de personajes y actores que te hacen flipar una vez que miras a los que ya conoces. Captain Carter, los Ultrons mejorados y Captain Marvel de otro universo batallando con los personajes principales es una de las escenas de acción mejores hechas en toda la historia cinematográfica del UCM.
Patrick Steward, as Professor X is one of the most important cameos in the film, where we see a Charles Xavier using the characteristic chair of the comics, from a timeline that we know from the classic X-MEN films of FOX from 2000. Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), previously introduced in the Marvel Original Animated Series What If? and the entire Illuminati team with a new cast of characters and actors that make you freak out once you look at the ones you already know. Captain Carter, enhanced Ultrons and Captain Marvel from another universe battling the main characters is one of the best-done action scenes in all MCU movie history.
Las escenas desgarradoras de Wanda como antagonista, conjunto a los momentos de terror del filme bajo la dirección de Sam Raimi, nos recuerdan el cine clásico del antiguo suspenso, acompañada por su banda sonora; Scarlet Witch hace de una verdadera villana como la vimos en WandaVision rompiendo con la cuarta pared con miradas ateradoras y escenas violentas.
The heartbreaking scenes of Wanda as the antagonist, together with the moments of terror in the film directed by Sam Raimi, remind us of the classic cinema of old suspense, accompanied by its soundtrack; Scarlet Witch plays a true villain role as we saw her in WandaVision breaking the fourth wall with frightening looks and violent scenes.
Easter eggs de Kahn, Spider-man, Inhumans y Fantastic Four son apreciados fácilmente pudiendo ver la gran libertad creativa del director sobre el filme, así también como las vistas al mundo animado, la Tierra Salvage y el mundo zombie son momentos que, aunque pasan rápido a ojos de los fans generan grandes expectativas.
Kahn, Spider-man, Inhumans and Fantastic Four easter-eggs are easily appreciated being able to see the great creative freedom of the director over the film, as well as the views to the animated world, the Salvage Land and the zombie world are moments that, although they pass quickly in the eyes of fans, generate great expectations.
Sin duda esta película hace honores a los 20 largos años desde que arrancó, aunque no con el UCM, pero sí la historia de todos estos personajes que pertenecen a la compañía, las sorpresas te las dejo para que las experimentes como expectador y saltes de alegría, llores de felicidad o no te despegues de la sala de cine, porque ganas de verla varias veces dá.
Without a doubt, this film honors the 20 long years since it started, although not with the MCU, but the history of all these characters that belong to the company, I leave the surprises for you to experience as a spectator and jump for joy, cry with happiness or don't leave the movie theater, because you want to see it several times.
