Louis de Pointe du Lac is a black multimillionaire businessman highly respected by his colleagues and partners in the city of Saint Louis, United States, who, after the death of his brother, falls into a depression that makes him a victim of the hunt for a vampire that turns him into one of his kind. Two hundred years later, Louis invites his friend Daniel Malloy to conduct a podcast interview with him about how he came to become a vampire, in which he recounts his history and experience as a vampire over the years.

This series is a supernatural fantasy television show with sci-fi touches that tells the story of Louis de Pointe from his early years as a vampire to the present day. Despite being a fantasy series, Interview with the Vampire contains very strong scenes of romance and adult content unlike its film predecessor. It can also be characterised as a romance miniseries due to its short length, but it's worth every minute of it.
Esta serie es un show televisivo de fantasía sobrenatural con toques de ciencia y ficción que narra la historia de Louis de Pointe en sus primeros años como vampiro hasta la actualidad. A pesar de ser una serie de fantasía, Interview with the Vampire contiene muy fuertes escenas de romance y contenido para adultos a diferencia de su predecesora película. Destacar además que se puede caracterizar también a la misma como una miniserie de romance debido a su corta duración pero vale la pena ver cada minuto.
Sam Reid accompanies the main star starring Jacob Anderson who together with Bailey Bass are the main face of the series. The appearance of actor Eric Bogosian as Daniel isn't very frequent but he's the one who makes public the edition of the podcast that narrates the transition of the events. Other actors such as Assad Zaman, Kalyne Coleman and Rae Dawn Chong also appear in supporting roles. I think the best thing about this series ain't the graphics or even the story, but the high score of these actors in every scene that makes your mouth drop open.
Sam Reid acompaña a la estrella principal protagonizada por Jacob Anderson quienes ambos junto a Bailey Bass son la cara principal de la serie. La aparición del actor Eric Bogosian como Daniel no es muy frecuente pero es quien hace pública la edición del podcast que narra la transición de los hechos. Otros actores como Assad Zaman, Kalyne Coleman y Rae Dawn Chong participan también en la misma en papeles secundarios. Creo que lo mejor que tiene esta serie no son los gráficos ni siquiera su historia, sino el puntaje tan alto de estos actores en cada escena que te hace quedarte con la boca abierta.
Soundtrack is in the style of the 1800's and 1900's music, where the culture of jazz and American music can be appreciated. There are also touches of mystery and horror, although the series isn't scary at all, and the good high quality sound sampling that was used to make the series itself.
La banda sonora está al estilo de la música del centenar de 1800 y 1900, donde se puede apreciar la cultura de la música jazz y norteamericana. También presenta toques de misterio y horror aunque la serie no asusta para nada, además de los buenos sonidos en alta calidad de muestreo empleados para realizar la misma.
The characters move between different eras very quickly where we see them interacting with younger versions of themselves, preserving their culture and physiology, as well as visualising different technologies over time. Racism and hints of colonisation and the French language are other elements that characterise the unfolding of the plot.
Los personajes se mueven entre épocas distintas muy rápidamente donde los vemos interactuar con versiones más jóvenes de ellos mismos, conservando su cultura y fisiología, además de visualizar en la misma las diferentes tecnologías a través del tiempo. El racismo e indicios de colonización y el idioma francés son otros elementos que caracterizan en el desenvolvimiento de la trama.
That touch of vintage and modern at the same time is what gives the series the desire to keep watching it, leaving you hooked with every episode, showing great scene graphics with blood, wind and extreme action effects comparable to any modern movie.
Ese toque de vintage y moderno a la vez es lo que le da a la serie esas ganas de seguirla viendo dejándote enganchado con cada capítulo, mostrando grandes gráficos de escena con efectos de sangre, viento y acción extrema comparable con cualquier película moderna.
Interview with the Vampire is a reboot of the 1994 film based on Anne Rice's book of the same name, with new actors, writers and producers. It can be seen that one of the companies giving the green light to this series is Immortal Universe through the amc TV network, so it could be nothing more and nothing less than the beginning of a new universe of series and films that could connect with each other in the future.
Interview with the Vampire es un reboot de la película de 1994 basada en el libro de Anne Rice que lleva por título el mismo nombre, con nuevos actores, guionistas y nuevos productores. Se puede apreciar que una de las compañías que le da luz verde a esta serie es Immortal Universe mediante la cadena amc por lo que podría ser nada más y nada menos que el principio de un nuevo universo de series y películas que podrían conectar entre sí en un futuro.
Of all the series I saw in 2022, Interview with the Vampire has been one of the ones I've liked the most, full of action, feelings, emotions, great performances and an elegant direction. The first season has just finished and I'm simply hooked to watch the second one. Highly recommended 10/10, remember to watch it without the company of minors as it is not suitable for them, without further ado, let me know what you think if you have already seen it, and if not, watch it, it's pretty good.
De entre tantas series que he visto en 2022, Interview with the Vampire ha sido de las que más me ha gustado, llena de acción, sentimientos, emociones, grandes actuaciones y bajo una dirección elegante. Ya se acaba de terminar la primera temporada y simplemente me he quedado enganchado para ver la segunda. Recomendadísima 10/10, recuerda verla sin compañía de menores ya que no es apta para ellos, sin más, déjame dicho qué te ha parecido si ya la viste, y si no, mírala, que está buena.
