After the search for a millenary artifact, a group of mercenaries invokes the presence of Black Adam, who's imprisoned in a tomb that prevented him from using his supernatural powers after having caused a catastrophe that could have destroyed the whole of West Africa. 5000 years later, the metahuman champion awakens disoriented in a new modern and technological era and is sent to be captured by Amanda Waller to return him to where he came from.

This fantastic movie full of action and black humor, puts Dwayne Johnson in the role of Black Adam, who, with his peculiar and characteristic performance, gets to combine these two genres giving it an extra sci-fi approach typical of DC movies.
Esta película fantástica llena de acción y humor negro, pone a Dwayne Johnson en el papel de Black Adam, que, con su peculiar y característico modo de actuación, llega a combinar estos dos géneros dándole un enfoque extra de ciencia y ficción propio de las películas de DC.
This film also features Viola Davis, Shara Shahi, Quintessa Swindell, Noah Centineo, Pierce Brosnan and Aldis Hodge in the roles of Amanda Waller, Isis, Cyclone, Atom Smasher, Doctor Fate and Hawkman respectively. The Rock has a leading role in the film, but those who know the history of this DC villain know that hesn't at all on the side of the good guys, but being his origin story with this great actor giving life to him, it was decided to include Sabbac as an antagonist giving a much more robust role to the central character.

The Rock tiene un papel protagónico en la cinta, pero quienes conocen la historia de este villano de DC saben que no es para nada del bando de los buenos, pero por ser su historia de origen con este gran actor dándole vida, se decidió incluir a Sabbac como antagonista dándole un carácter mucho más robusto al personaje central.
Soundtrack's composed by Lorne Balfe, who's in charge of bringing spectacular entrance melodies when some other famous character appears in the scenes, focusing on a specific theme for each one. Also the sound effects are well worked and remind us in this aspect to movies like Man of Steel or Zack Snyder's Justice League.
La banda sonora está compuesta por Lorne Balfe, quien se encarga de traer melodías de entradas espectaculares cuando aparece algún que otro personaje famoso en las escenas, enfocando un tema específico para cada uno. También los efectos de sonido están bien trabajados y nos hacen recordar en este aspecto a películas como Man of Steel o Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
The events take place years after what we saw in Shazam and The Suicide Squad, where we can appreciate a very technological and industrialized environment where crime has reached large international scales in the plot. The debut of The Justice Society is evidenced by confirming the existence of Hawkman even before the Justice League was invented, who is its leader along with Doctor Fate operating under the direction of the U.S. government.
Los hechos se remontan años después de los sucesos ocurridos en las cintas Shazam y The Suicide Squad, donde podemos apreciar un ambiente muy tecnológico e industrializado donde el crimen ha llegado a grandes escalas de manera internacional en la trama. EL debut de The Justice Society se evidencia confirmando la existencia de Hawkman incluso antes de que se inventara la Liga de la Justicia, quien es su líder junto a Doctor Fate operando bajo la dirección del gobierno de EEUU.
Graphics, while lacking a bit more to be at their best, feel well smoothed out on screen, where CGI was used for most of the action scenes. Hawkman's wings, winds, sand, lightning and fire are some of the elements that stand out the most when you watch it.
Los gráficos, aunque les falta un poco más para estar a tope, se sienten bien suavizados en pantalla, donde se usó CGI para la mayoría de las escenas de acción. Las alas de Hawkman, los vientos, la arena, los rayos y el fuego son de los elementos que más se destacan a la vista cuando la ves.
Black Adam connects directly to the films Shazam, Shazam: Fury of Gods and Man of Steel where the appearance of Henry Cavill's Superman has increased the hype of fans of both the character and the actor for his return. Actors from the same universal saga that participated in previous films are also repeated, giving a linear follow-up to the events that took place in previous films.
Black Adam conecta directamente con las películas Shazam, Shazam: Fury of Gods y Man of Steel donde la aparición de Henry Cavill como Superman ha incrementado el hype de los fans tanto del personaje como del actor por su regreso. Se repiten además actores de la misma saga universal que participan en películas anteriores dándole un seguimiento lineal a los hechos ocurridos en previas películas.
Unfortunately, Black Adam will not have a sequel and will not be part of the new universe in development. Due to management decisions, the new line of DC Studios movies will suffer an almost complete reboot of the saga by James Gunn and Peter Safran, so even Henry Cavill has officially announced his departure from the company; also, prior to this, The Rock is unhappy with this decision and it will possibly be the last time we'll see him in a movie of this style, thus canceling his appearance in the new Shazam film. Still, this movie has been one of the best of the year and one of the last of the DCEU that started with Zack Snyder, it's a total shame but hopefully what's next will be better than it was. Black Adam was all a dream many years ago, and it's a reality TODAY. have you seen it yet? Because it's worth 10/10 to watch it.

Por desgracia, Black Adam no tendrá secuela y no formará parte del nuevo universo en desarrollo. Debido a decisiones de dirección, la nueva línea de películas de DC Studios sufrirá un reinicio casi completo de la saga por parte de James Gunn y Peter Safran, por lo que incluso Henry Cavill ha anunciado de manera oficial su salida de la compañía; además, previo a esto, The Rock está descontento con esta decisión y posiblemente sea la última vez que lo veamos en una película de este estilo, cancelando así su aparición en el nuevo filme de Shazam. Aún así, esta película ha sido de las mejores del año y una de las últimas del DCEU que comenzó con Zack Snyder, es una lástima total pero esperemos que lo que viene sea mejor de lo que fue. Black Adam fue todo un sueño hace muchos años, y es una realidad HOY. ¿Ya la viste? Porque vale 10/10 verla.
