Blonde, the new Netflix movie starring Cuban actress Ana de Armas, who plays the character of Marilyn Monroe in a biopic based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates that tells the story of how the movie star became famous. In search of making a name for herself in the film industry, after being abandoned by her family, she is contacted by her father years later in order to meet her in person and make up for the lost years without seeing her, Marilyn being emotionally attracted to him and focusing her dreams in order to meet him.
Blonde, la nueva película de Netflix protagonizada por la actriz cubana Ana de Armas, quien encarna al personaje de Marilyn Monroe en una cinta biográfica basada en la novela de Joyce Carol Oates que narra la historia de cómo la estrella de cine se hizo famosa. En búsqueda de hacerse de un nombre en la industria cinematográfica, luego de ser abondanada por su familia, es contactada por su padre años después con el fin de querer conocerla en persona y recuperar los años perdidos que estuvo sin verla, siendo, Marilyn, atraída emocionalmente por éste y enfocando sus sueños en vista a reencontrárselo.
The film, released in September 2022, is a biographical drama that focuses not only on Monroe, but also on Norma Jeane, which is the real name of the person behind Marilyn. Having several scenes of family suspense, it also contains moments of both sexual and adult violence, showing intimate areas of the characters as well as sex scenes between them.
La cinta, estrenada en Septiembre de 2022, es un drama biográfico que se enfoca no sólo en Monroe, sino también en Norma Jeane, el cual es el nombre real de la persona detrás de Marilyn. Teniendo varias escenas de suspenso familiar, contiene además momentos de violencia tanto sexual como de adultos, mostrando zonas íntimas de los personajes así como escenas de sexo entre éstos.
Brad Pitt, Andrew Dominik, Dede Gardber, Scott Robertson, Tracey Landon and Jeremy Kleiner produce and direct the film, which brings together actors such as Adrien Brod, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, Lily Fisher, Evan Williams and Dan Butler in some of the most exemplary performances for a film of this type, all giving the best of themselves. Although the participation of most of these actors is sparse, their appearances leverage the material in a way that contributes to and justifies the length of the film.

Both the ambient sound, the music and the soundtrack in general get top marks for emphasizing exactly the scenes of joy and the scenes of sadness, achieving a perfect synchronization between each glorious or overwhelming moment together with the melody.

Blonde is set in the 1950's, during the peak of the early American film industry, geolocated mainly in the cities of New York and Hollywood, during the emergence of not only the first movie stars, but also prominent athletes, photographers and writers who appear in the film. Also noteworthy is the cameo of President John J. Kennedy in the film.
Blonde está ambientada en los años ‘50 durante la época cúspide de las primeras películas norteamericanas, geolocalizada principalmente en la ciudades de New York y Hollywood, durante el surgimiento de no sólo de las primeras estrellas de cine, sino también de destacados deportistas, fotógrafos y escritores que hacen su aparición en el filme. Cabe destacar también el cameo del presidente John J. Kennedy en la misma.
Chayse Irvin excelled as cinematographer, with his changing scenes between black and white and color, spliting screens in 1:1, 16:9 and 4:3 resolutions, plus spectacular graphics made with CAD but more than that, every angle, every object of detail and every light is a masterpiece within it.
Chayse Irvin se lució como director de fotografía, con sus escenas cambiantes entre blanco y negro y a color, dividiendo pantallas en resoluciones de 1:1, 16:9 y 4:3, además de gráficos espectaculares hechos con CAD (Desarrollo Asistido por Computadoras) pero más que eso, cada ángulo, cada objeto de detalle y cada luz es una obra maestra dentro de la misma.
Being a film based on a novel with a length of almost three hours, it doesn't seem to have a sequel, although at its discretion, it remains very open with many gaps to fill, showing in its scenes moments worthy of reflection, so the film passes relatively quickly between years.
Siendo una cinta basada en una novela con una duración de casi tres horas, no parece tener una secuela, aunque a discreción, ésta se queda muy abierta con muchos vacíos por llenar, que muestra en sus escenas momentos dignos de reflexión, por eso, la cinta pasa relativamente rápido entre año y año.
Many people didn't like it, at first I didn't like it either, you just have to watch it to feel the emotions and feelings that the film transmits. It's not the best of the year, but it deserves an award not only for the performances, but also because it is very different from what we are used to, alluding to the old black and white films, and therefore, more expensive and better worked.

A muchas personas no les ha gustado, al principio a mí tampoco, sólo hay que verla para sentir las emociones y sentimientos que te transmite la cinta. No es lo mejor del año, pero sí merecedora de un premio no sólo por las actuaciones, sino también porque es muy diferente a lo que ya estamos acostumbrados haciendo alusión a las cintas antiguas en blanco y negro, y por ende, más costosa y mejor trabajada.
